Are you an amazing sleeper? Do you fall asleep every night with no problem and sleep through til the morning? Do you wake up without the buzz of an alarm clock? Chances are, you're among the majority of people that answered "no, no, and no" to those questions. According to the New York Times, 4 out of 5 people say that they suffer from sleep problems at least once a week and wake up feeling exhausted.
How can we sleep better? In addition to getting a new mattress that has cool, clean, comfortable properties, we recommend trying a few tips!
1 - Try to get at least 7 hours.
People that sleep 7 hours or more a night have been proven to live longer and stay healthier. And sleep begets sleep, meaning that the more consistent you are, the easier it becomes.
2 - But you may not need 7 hours.
Wait, what? You just said... Yes, but according to the National Sleep Foundation, the amount of hours varies greatly from individual to individual and depends largely on lifestyle and genetics.
3 - Write it down and keep track.
Write down how much you're sleeping a night. A good way to generally know if you're getting enough is to ask yourself "Am I sleepy?" If the answer's yes, then you are not sleeping enough.
4 - Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.
The best way to maintain your body's 24-hour clock is to be consistent. This will help it know when you'll be powering down and revving up each day.
